Anders Chan

Dr. Chan completed his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Long Island University Post in August 2024. His predoctoral internship was at Sunset Terrace Family Health Center at NYU Langone, where he provided (TF)CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, and psychological assessments for children, adolescents, adults, and couples in an outpatient setting. His externships include Montefiore/Albert Einstein - Supporting Healthy Relationships (couples and groups) and Pratt Institute (college counseling and groups). His dissertation with Dr. Jill Rathus is the Acceptability and Cultural Considerations of DBT-A for Chinese Mental Health Professionals. Throughout his residency year, he will be providing care for patients/clients within the UC-LEND program and at partner sites, CLARE|MATRIX and allcove Beach Cities. He’s excited about the move from NY to LA. His passions are working with diversity, researching about AI, Ling-nan Chinese brush painting, dancing, and making music.
