Alex Bowen, ACSW

Alex is the UC-LEND Clinic Manager and a Clinical Social Worker. She earned her MSW from UCLA along with her Pupil Personnel Services Credential and a certificate in Human Services Management. She co-authored a publication called, “’They think kids are stupid’: yPAR and confrontations with institutionalized power as contexts for children’s identity work.” She is particularly interested in working with clients who identify as queer or disabled, as well as those who have experienced trauma. She hopes to grow in utilizing therapies that center anti-oppression, art, and music.
